This intensive 3-week workshop focuses primarily on digital video as a strategic communication tool. We use video as means of (1) observing people’s relationships with digital media in their everyday lives and (2) communicating about society’s changing relationship with digital technology, and social issues which arise by our use of new media (fx. our private and public lives). The course guides students through hands-on exercises in video recording and video editing as well as strategic elements such as communication planning and storyboarding. The purpose of the practical video production exercises is to make the students aware of different ways of “watching with the camera” and “hearing with a microphone” – and ways to “tell the story” by means editing. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
